John Uskglass (or d'Uskglass) was a Norman aristocrat holding lands in the north of England who died in the summer of 1097, murdered by his enemy, Hubert de Cotentin [45,66]. The Raven King claimed this noble as his father and eventually adopted the name himself. However, numerous people have argued that John Uskglass the elder and the Raven King were not even related [66].
