Julius Caesar

Julius Caesar was a Roman general and politician. He was the first of that conquering race to invade Britain, though he did not stay long. By his guile, courage and ceaseless effort he made himself the most powerful man in Rome, and was then shortly after assassinated.
According to a story Stephen Black told of him while under the enchantment of the gentleman with the thistle-down hair, Caesar owed his rise in the world entirely to the assistance of fairies[26]. This may, or may not, be the case. Fairies are apt to overstate their own power and importance.
