Lakota is the name of a people native to the Americas, a branch of the flourishing Sioux nation. They are reluctantly obliged to play host to a group of soldiers from the different allied armies who take advantage of the temporary removal of Brussels to the Great Plains of America to desert. As these men lack the necessary skills to live off the land as the Lakota do however, they become known amongst them as the ' Half-Finished People'. As for the Lakota themselves, Lord Wellington, observing the impressively martial bearing of some passing warriors, briefly debates the practicality of inviting them to take part in the forthcoming battle[40].
