Lisbon

Lisbon is the capital of Portugal, one of the countries of the Spanish Peninsula. Jonathan Strange goes there early in 1811 to aid the British army, who under Lord Wellington are waging war against the forces of Napoleon, Emperor of France. He stays at the lodging house of a Mr Prideaux[29].
