Tantony

Mr Tantony is a brewer from Nottinghamshire, the partner of Mr Gatcombe. He is also the victim of a deception by Christopher Drawlight, who, representing himself to be Jonathan Strange, has been corresponding with Mr Tantony and pretending to instruct him in magic. The deception is discovered when Strange himself encounters both Gatcombe and Tantony by chance at the Bedford coffee-house[35].
