Loveday Ingham was a magician in Cambridge during the 15th. century and his Book an account of his daily doings. It was not generally known to exist until it was offered for sale during the dispersal of the great library of the Duke of Roxburghe in the autumn of 1812. It was of course bought by Mr Norrell, who deposited it in his library at Hurtfew[28].
